- Introduction
Wether
you are a real motorcycle addict or not or you
know about history or technical specs...
It is most likely that if you'd
see such a motorcycle on your street, you would
be fascinated and impressed.
These motorcycles are from another era
, the second world war .
Their closest ancester would be the russian M-72
wich was itself copied from the german engineered
BMW, the 1938 R71 .
Voila, they are used motorcycles,
completely remanufactured with new parts. A '30
model years, an original production from the'50s
and'60s and finally new parts of the 2000's!

Given the huge market of parts
manufactured by sub-contracting factories. it
is now possible for Montreal Sidecar to import
such bikes, almost new.

III
- three main models
There is 3 main variation of models: M1, M1M
and M1 super . All frames are alike, only engine
differ.

M1: (Flathead
6v., 22hp) :
The oldest model has an adjustable
ignition advance on the handlebars. A 750cc
engine and looks unbelivable. On the left
picture it is dressed like a BMW from the
2nd war, with all the accessories and emblems.
The M1 is a favorite of re-enactors.
----------------------------------

M1M, Flathead
12v. 24hp :
Model similar to M1 but it
was equipped with an electric system
of 12 volts, points and an electric starter,
still keeping the option of kickstart.
-------------------------------

M1Super, OHV,
12volts, 32hp,:
It is
equipped with an engine a bit more modern
and powerful valve heads. The power difference
with the other 2 models made a good choice
to ride with a sidecar and an adult passenger
on our modern roads.
